I've been tasked with getting my parents a new mouse. Only requirements are it is wireless and costs less than £30.

They currently have one of the MS keyboard/mouse combo packs which has a single wireless receiver to handle both devices. Problem is the mouse is kaputt but the keyboard still has plenty of life left in it.

I was wondering if I could get them a new MS wireless mouse and use it with the old wireless receiver? If not, then will I get any interference from having 2 2.4ghz transmitters/receivers so close together?

Taking all that into account, which mouse would you recommend? :)

Whilst I appreciate the suggestion of getting them an el cheapo combo, their current set cost about £120 new (granted that was a good 2-3 years ago) so the keyboard is quite potent and I think they'd be reluctant to give it up.

I was thinking of getting them the Microsoft Wireless Mouse 2000 (the blue track one). RRP is about £30, but it can be picked up for about £20. Plus my dad is left handed and is constantly cursing 'stupid designs', so this mouse might shut him up for a bit.....
