Hi there,

Im currently using *Be Unlimited. No problems what so ever. However, Im still using the Be Box they provided. With our old ISP, we had a Netgear Modem / Router, forgot the model. Since I told the parents we were moving to *Be and they found out that we got a new router, they decided to give the Netgear one to my sister. Now this Be Box is not the best of things. Range is a little poor on it and sometimes to cuts me off. I am the furthest away, so the range is probably the problem.

Anyway, Im after a new router. I suppose sticking with a Netgear wouldn't be a bad idea. No troubles in the past so why change. I would also like to set up a wireless network so I could send documents etc to the 'wired' pc in the office then print them off.

So what do you guys recommend? Range has to be pretty decent. Looking to spend less than £100 if I can help it :p

Thanks

*sigh* Sorry to start like this, but why don't you just read the other countless posts on this subject that have been made in the last few days.

But to save you the effort, if you want netgear you can't go too wrong with a DG834N or DG834GT, stick the DGTeam firmware on it as its a fair bit better than the official Netgear stuff. Wireless range is pretty good, the 802.11n certainly makes a difference in my house.

Could also look at a powerline adapter set up instead, will cost you around the same as a new router if you're opting for the DN834N.

As for the printing, you can just enable a shared folder and drop things into that on the desktop PC or just simply share the printer.
