Finally moving over to a wireless network for the 4 devices we have in the house. We have 3 Shuttle PC's and a Buffalo Link Theatre that need to be connected.

Can you explain to a "Wireless" noob what i need to buy and recommend a system please.

Well first off each pc needs a wireless adaptor, either a PCI card or a USB stick.

Then you need a router/modem. The type you buy depends on if youre on cable or adsl.

Each device can connect wirelessly to the router.

Im on NTL cable.2 of the PC's will need USB Dongles as they are upstairs, 1 is right next to the router and the 3rd device is the Link Theatre.

Bearing this in mind i think some routers have a hard wired output via Ethernet? Correct me if i am wrong. So that only leaves the connection to the Buffalo.Need to find out what wireless setup that supports failing that i could buy a 3rd USB Dongle for the PC downstairs and hardwire the Buffalo.

What you think?
