Ok I used to have my computer hardwired into my old modem via ethernet but decided to go wireless. So I blagged a new BT home hub 2.0 and bought myself the edimax EW-7728in wireless card from this site and got it all last week. I setup the new modem and put in the new wireless card and within 10 mins i was surfing the web at about 5 odd meg. Pretty pleased with myself!
Until today that is.... I turn on my computer and double clicked my explorer icon to get cannot find internet. DNSerror etc etc. The icon in my bottom right for my edimax says its all connected etc although now I have only 45%-60% signal strength and its been 90+% since I installed it all. The modem is only in the next bloody room!!!! Im picking up the neighbours across the road at nearly the same strength! Anyway Ive reset everything, modem and computer side and still I cannot connect to the net! Any idea why guys? I dont understand how it can be working fine up unitl yesterday but today I switch on and get low signal strength that tells me im connected to the modem but I cant get on the internet. Im only back online now cos plugged the old modem back in! Not happy!
