new X58 boards

does anyone know if there will be a new wave of enthusiast type boards for i7 - possibly with new usb and sata standards , im thinking along the lines of EVGA SLI and ASUS republic of gamers etc , planning an i7 build over christmas , but dont want to be suddenly out of date

Gigabyte have a new usb 3.0, sata 6 gbps board out and all, ive also seen new booards from asus as well.

There is going to be a Rampage III Extreme coming towards the end of Q1 next year, which is planned to have USB 3.0 and SATA6.

The UD7 is a very good board, as with all new technologies be cautious.

Nothing that I can really release at the moment as the design is being finalised, just trying to get some pictures.

thatd be good , i assume the colour scheme etc will match the P55 type that asus is using lately

Asus do have a slightly cheaper board than the RPIII based around the P6T series here:

Like the Rampage it looks like this new board with usb3 support wil be useless for tri-sli or tri-fire unless you have a case with an 8th pci slot, and even then the cards cooler will be blocking usb, firewire connections to the board. Why can't Asus take EVGA's lead on their X58 or better yet the Classidied and design a board that will support 3 dual slot cards within the atx case spec. Bet the rampage III will have the same usless design.
