The voice codec applys to ingame chat aswell right?

Nope, I think it's just party chat atm as I think the games themselves produce a codec so there would have to be a title update for every game.

Looks bloody horrible. Looks like the shaders/textures haven't finished loading all the time, its all flat and nasty .

Is this the dash with better voice comms supposedly? At least some good may come of it.

Furthermore, why have they still not added support for 1920x1200? It really annoys me I can either have stretched 1080p or interpolated 1680x1050 .

Very true.

I find it entertaining when people say that its hard to play a game blah blah blah, you can set the console to start up the disc automatically and avoid the dashboard altogether?

And its not exactly a chore to navigate to XBLA games either from what i understand?

Don't know if the servers are getting hammered or what, but all the online content since this update is slow with a capitol S, marketplace, zune, facebook app.

I'm now being blamed for the deletion of all the Viva Pinata saves, ahh well at least non of my games were touched.

But I tend to agree with the whole designed by a 5 year old comments. And I've yet to try out the new Codec either for Party Chat but this talk of it sounding like everyone has a cold is making this sound like a very poor update overall and I hope Microsoft do something, but thats unlikely.

I'm used to it already, can't remember the old dash. I've used it since the beta was released. The things I hate were in the old one anyway. Slow and reams of blades of crap I don't want to see.

I need two blades, Friends and My Xbox. The rest I should be able to customise out or they should pay me for advertising space

Love it tbh. The last one was a pos. This looks cleaner, flatter and thank frak they've removed the daft apple'esq cover flow look to the tiles.

Well, with everyone now getting home from work/school, I would suggest it's being hammered to high hell.

I'm just trying to get the new Sky Player installed and getting constant "There's a problem with the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Please try again later." errors. Should settle later.
