New Xbox 360 Steering Wheel

Hey all,

Just popped into town and saw the revised Xbox Wireless steering wheels. They look identical but apparantly wont burn your house down.

They had some priced at £69.99 and some at £89.99. I demanded one at £69.99 and got it

Sat down in my works reception ready for me to whisk home at the end of work. Can't wait to give this a bash on Forza 2 and PGR4. Wanted to get one for ages as i love my racing games.

I have been looking at those racing seats, they look great fun, but for over £300 i think it is too much. I have a rather nice masaging leather recliner seat which i might make a stand for.

Anyone else got one of these? How do they compare to the Logitech and MadKatz(sp?) ones?

how do you use the steering wheel with nothing to clamp it to though?

It's possible to rest it on your knee's and drive, although, so far i am not enjoying it.

I appear to be completely crap with the wheel on PGR4. Can't do anywhere near as good as i can with a pad.

I might give it another go later, but i just don't seem to be able to get used to it! I have tried it on my knee's and with some sort of home made stand using speakers and a plank of wood. Neither seemed that good

i love my wheel! I have been clamping it on my desk and it works great. Been playing forza 2 non-stop.
I have to agree with never as good as using the pad but the experience is well worth it imo.
