NEW XFX 7800GT

That sounds prtty good to me. Possibly a tad low but still pretty good. Try overclocking it and see what you get then.
 
ive just noticed the GPU core is only cloked at 450mhz and it says on the box its supposed to be 475 anyone else had this problem

Yup, Perfectly fine. They really start to shine when you overclock them.

My old 7800gt did 7.2k at stock and 8.8k at 510core and 1.22ghz ram:)

what 7800GT did you achive those clocks with and do you think my XFX is capable of those speeds
 
Clock speed I don't know. Isit the extreme edition XFX? Because they come from the factory overclocked....What's the Memory clock at?
 
thought it was 475 as it says on OCuk which is were i bought it from oh well, what sort of clocks are people getting out of these beasts
 
i havent tried overclocking mine but i dont get why yours doesnt overclock very well as its the nvidia reference design so it should overclock the same as everyone elses.

7.2k stock is an admirable 32Mark05 score, and the 7800gt is a good performer for the price, overclocked it will bring in about 8k.
