So 2017 is here and I want to re-home my existing kit.

I have narrowed it down to:

Coolermaster Master Case 5 Pro (will add a TG window)
NZXT S340 Elite
Corsair Crystal 460X

I have ruled out cases with TG on both side panels as wiring is a nightmare at the best of times!

Optical bays are a nice to have but do need to mount 2x2.5" and 1x3.5" drives.

Cheers

I've got the 460x so I can give my feedback on that, I haven't owned either of the other two. I previously owned a Phanteks Enthoo Luxe, and before that a Silverstone TJ-07, so I have experience with well reviewed cases. So pros and cons of the 460x:

Pros

  • With the tempered glass front and back it looks superb
  • The fans are whisper quiet once you set them to a sensible fan profile, but also push a good amount of air when they need to
  • The lighting effects are very nice, there's a good selection of lighting types and colours
  • The PSU shroud is a nice way of hiding cables and making the build look cleaner
  • For a fairly compact mid-tower there is plenty of space for components

Cons

  • Limited cable routing space, I had a bit of a job getting it looking neat and tidy
  • You really need to buy an exhaust fan, preferably another SP120 RGB if you want to make the most of the RGB lighting, so you need to factor in an extra £12-15 on top of you purchase of the case
  • Compared to the other two options it's quite expensive

On the whole I am very happy with the 460x. It looks fantastic, the cooling fans are both quiet and powerful, and the cons are minor quibbles really.

Thanks for the feedback so far guys. Still leaning towards the 460X rather than the 570X but a nice build Zod. I really don't want the back panel made of glass as my patience for wiring is limited :-)
