new york advice please

i'd like to visit NYc this June, would it be best to book now or wait for summer offers closer to june.

I've never booked a holiday myself so you might want to confirm this but I hear people talking about higher prices during the summer as it's the holiday season then. So in theory wouldn't it be cheaper if you booked now?

Each time we've been to NYC we never booked it like a holiday. Just bought the flights and paid for the hotel when we got there.

In terms of booking I would personally just sort flights as and when as waiting to the 11th hour is never good, and those special offers that might happen are often no better than the ones available today!

We find it better when going to America to just book into a hotel when we get there and just have flights/fly drive but i've never been to NYC. Looking at going though around November.
