Went last month, thought I'd throw them in their own thread after the whole debacle that happened. Not sure if I've posted them in any other thread anyway, probably have :confused:

C&C is more than welcome!!
5D3 and 24-105L used on all of them I think. EXIF should be in tact.

Just a couple from Las Vegas first. I was there before a couple of years ago, so didn't take that many photos this time.

New York next. First time there. A lot more photos, still probably not as many as I would have liked. A bit nervous with such expensive gear, also not a fan of street photography so didn't have the camera out as I was walking around really.

Nice travel set, love the colours in #6. Closest I'll get to a trip to the states, is looking at other peoples holiday snaps!

Re Grand Central station.

Look up and expose for another stop.

I've been trying to think of how to phrase my response to this thread and really Rays post sums it up brilliantly. I really like some of you pictures particularly some of the views of the Empire State but others lack the attention to detail in composition that could turn them from good to great. Rays example shows how a tiny tweak to composition and a 1-stop exposure change can really bring a scene to life.

I need to go back to New York, my last visit was with a 3.2mp olympus compact and I've learn't so much since then!

Photos make me want to go. Got any more?

There's a few more on my blog (link in sig) but mostly just left out a few bird and squirrels from central park and a few others. Still have more to process and upload though.

The Grand Central Terminal photo;
The camera was sitting level on the balcony thing, hence the missing ceiling etc.

Thinking back though, I'm sure it was pretty dark inside, which is why I wanted the photo to look kinda dark. Rays looks a bit too bright.

I took a few other shots and a separate shot of the ceiling to do a vertical panorama but the ceiling shot was a bit blurry cause it ended up being 1/6 sec... This is how it turned out anyway.
