New York City (and a bit of Georgia) - Updated

I guess I need to get off my backside and process these photographs from America last October. I went literally about a week before Hurricane Sandy landed and most of the time the weather was amazing for October. We picked October because we wanted to see NYC in the fall and the autumn colours. Unfortunately it was too warm and everywhere was still green !

Day. 1 (and the bit the night before)

35L again?

Lovely series as your holiday albums always are, Raymond.

Yup, 35L again and thank you. These are literally my "snaps", that girl is a friend of mine.

I did take the 45 TS but never used it !

Actually, some of these were from the Olympus XZ-1...bet you can't guess which one :p (actually it's easy to spot if you know what to look for)

These are shot with 5D3/35L

The ones are aren't above are the first few, the night shots funnily enough as it was the first night and I knew we were heading to a bar so first 8 photos (and no.22) are from my compact. The next day are all from the 5D/35.

Going to HK next month and I am going to take my 45. I want to master that lens, because when tilting a certain way can alter exposure by a stop and a half at times. I need to know what, how much, which direction and under what condition. Only one way to learn without reading.

As for processing, I know exactly what you mean but this is one of the few opportunities to play with processing, when its my own stuff. I don't mind it as I am my own client in this instance, so I would just process it to suit the photos without the constraints. One of these days I am going to make my own travel book with some of the images, perhaps I will make it all in line at that point, perhaps not, we'll see.

Wait until I've posted all the photos before you say there's not enough variety :p

There are some panoramic views of the city in the day, night and one over the Hudson between Brooklyn and Manhattan, none of Time Square or any from Georgia yet, I took the camera to a shooting range lol

The night shot was from top of the rock, Rockefeller centre. Bought a Gorillapod purely for that shot, £50 well spent! :D
