New York, Jan/Feb 26… where to start!?

Thinking of taking the Mrs for a 50th birthday celebration trip. No idea where to start with flights and accommodation. What would you advise?

Would you say 4 nights is ample? Looking to do all the usual suspects in terms of sight-seeing.

Your definition of 'ample' is doing the heavy lifting here. New York is massive, even if you just stay on Manhattan island, you could spend weeks doing stuff. Saying that, I did fly to NY for lunch once

It'll be bloody cold in Jan/Feb, but there's a charm to the steamy streets and cosiness of the bars and restaurants when it's bitterly cold outside, and Central Park with a fresh coating of snow is once of the great city experiences in the world imo.
