New York restaurant recommendations

Hi all

My fiancée an I will be heading to New York in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone had any restaurant recommendations around the Lexington Avenue area (obviously we are will to travel further). Something a bit posh would be nice although not crazy expensive! We like traditional food types as well as Indian and Chinese.

Any more suggestions, The View looks pretty expensive (£120 for two people not inc. drinks).
