Any suggestions either performance wise or compatability very welcome.

Just wanted to say i think this forums great i've been browsing for a while whilst i decided whether or not i wanted to build my own comp.

Still don't understand what that actually means

My good friend Chris1712 now owns the nooby. This means he can be called upon at any time to fetch him what he desires. This includes but is not limited to warm cups of tea, roflcakes and hot lol pie ~ Zefan.

Not sure the Audigy sound card is worth it at £17 vs the X-FI extreme audio at just £27 or the onboard sound for free (onboard is pretty good these days). Otherwise looks great, though I'd prefer a logitech mx10/ mx18 mouse.

I'm presuming 'claimed' is the same as 'reserved' i sometimes use it to reply to a question on other forums, without my answer appearing on like the 3rd page or sumat if its a long one!

The dvd drive does seem a better option, shall swap for that one probably

Soundcards don't reali do much for me just no i hate my current as it dies after 3mins of music and jst crackles! :s

Rot. I'll admit the theoretical burst rate is a tad quicker. In real life you'd never notice the difference.

I did almost put 'theoretically' but couldnt be bothered! All the same, IDE is becoming less favourable.

Will it be phased out at any point in the near future?

To be honest it might be worth you sticking with the onboard sound to begin with to see what its like? In the past couple of years ive found onboard sound to be a lot better than its ever been before.
