newbie CPU question

Hi everyone,

Excuse my no doubt very much newbie questions but google dont seem to give me any simple answers, whats better out of...

Intel i7 3770k @ 4.4GHz or i5 3570K 4.6GHZ ? i would imagine the i7 still but its at a lower overclock so im a tad confused

Also is it possible to overclock a Intel® Core™ i7-3770m processor 3.4GHZ with turbo boost to 3.9ghz

it all depends on what your doing on it

rendering or video editing software / photoshop- adobe apps etc then the i7 would be better

gaming then the i5 for most, the i7 only for some if you do other stuff as well or certain games etc, but you pay a premium price for the extra few fps it will give in games only

FSX mainly, i have the HP envy right now and on FSX im getting barley 20-30FPS :/ apparently its very CPU heavy

As said above, I'd go with the 3570k for a game like that, the 3770k will just add threads.
