Well thanks for all you help building it! I know it's been a while but I now have it all up and running, specs are:

Abit IP35 Pro Mobo
Intel Q6600 Quad Core Energy Efficient Edition
Asus EN8800 Ultra
2 X Western Digital Raptors 10,000RPM In RAID0
Creative XFi Gamer
Asus SATA Lightscribe DVD Writer
4GB Crucial Balistix (1066)
Asus Silent Square Pro CPU Cooler With Arctic Silver 5
Tagan 1100W Silent PSU
Creative Gigaworks 7.1 Speakers
2 X Samsung 24" Wide Screen Monitors
Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard
Logitech Wireless Laser Mouse
Vista 64 Ultimate

I now need some advice on clocking it. Bit of a newbie, done some minor overclocking before but want to do it properly this time! I've downloaded some of the recomended programs (prime95 etc) also have uGuru which comes with the board (is this any good)?

Could do with some figures from someone with a similar spec system so I know what kind of voltages are safe and an idea of what I can expect to get from this system.

Thanks for any help, it will be very much appreciated :)

Nice setup. Don't know about volts for G0 stepping but 1.45 was the standard for older C2Ds. I've also read many times that volts don't kill things rappers do (ahem.. heat does even). So just monitor your temps and you should be OK.

A good way to start clocking is to set everything in the bios to manual for stock settings and start from there. This way you know the board won't pump insain volts through anything.

Also check out how to overclock your board first as this will give you a load of settings to use that will help you get more out of your overclock.

Do what I did, just read the excellent guides which have been stickied at the top of this very forum, they are excellent sources of information and will go into detail of what you need to do :)

You can even find an overclocking guide for your particular motherboard...
