My question is will it be fine to fit this Mobo into this case and cooling?

xo

Does the case take a normal ATX motherboard?

What O/S do you have?

What graphics card do you have?

Are your HDDs/DVD drives SATA?

What PSU do you have?

Is your RAM DDR3?

YOUR BASKET
1 x Intel Core i3-2120 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £89.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £80.40
1 x Kingston HyperX RED Limited Edition 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (KHX1600C9D3B1RK2/8GX) £35.99
Total : £217.78 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Have you got any further information about the case, ie what Form factor motherboard it takes ect.

I would strongly recommend that you go fro an Intel instead of AMD as bulldozer perform pretty poorly against something like an i5 2500K for the majority of tasks.

Yeah 64 bit W7.

Not sure on the spending, something around the same amount as my OP.

I use it for work as well as some games, LoL, Sc2, d3 coming soon, etc.. It runs sc2 on Ultra so but it's just to slow at the minute.

What jamesfreddie first specced is your best bet with that budget :)

FX 8150 vs i3 2100
You'll notice at the bottom on the gaming benchmarks that the i3 beats this even more expensive cpu!

If the whole computer is about 7 - 8 years old then it may be easier just to start again and spend about £500 - £700 on a new tower, if you can afford it.

Yeah i was thinking that plus do i need cooling to on top of that though? Heatsink on this one is completely gone.

I could maybe afford it if i could pay it of over time, but to buy it all in one go would be a lot to ask, i have Uni starting in September :(
