Newbie Log - Mini-ITX Build

I am first time PC builder, looking at the current shortage of components in the market i've probably picked one of the worst times to start building. Anyhow, my plan is to build a small but mighty ITX machine used for VR gaming and media consumption. Maybe a little over-kill for watching youtube and a few chrome tabs.

Components:
Case: Cooling master NR200P - Black (looks so much cooler than the white one)
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Motherboard: Gigabyte B550i Auorus Pro AX
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 2 x 8GB RGB 3200Mhz
SSD: WD Blue SN550 1TB NMVe M.2. 2400MB/s
Fans: Antec Prizm 120mm ARGB (Pack 5)
CPU Cooling: AMD Wraith Prism RGB LED
PSU: TBC (450W-600W) Originally bought the wrong form factor and have return it
GPU: Either Radeon RX 5600 XT or GeForce GTX 2060 (Hoping stocks come back for second half of this year)

Ordered almost all the componets bar the PSU and GPU. Will keep this thread updated.

Chosen EVGA 450W SFX 80+ Gold PSU - 123-GM-0450-Y3. Originally thought I ordered the 550W version of this but turned out it was an ATX sized unit. Yet another item that will need returning. I also ordered the B450i MSI Gaming Plus Max motherboard then realised I was better off paying a little more to get USB-C and PCIe 4.0. Luckily the motherboard was bought off amazon so free returns isn't a problem. I bought the PSU from scans.co.uk, i'm not how sure how good their returns policies are, but I will be sure to update and use this platform to either compliment or rant.

Just realised that the Ryzen 7 3700X does not come with integrated graphics. Damn it! I probably won't be able to get my hands on a decent GPU until July/August time, that's if i'm lucky. I now have to consider getting a temporary GPU just to run my build for testing. Think i'm gonna have to do a cost breakdown later down the line to find out how much my mistakes are costing me haha. I really should have read/watched more tutorials before I started on this journey.

Alright, another screw up, I changed the PSU again! Now I have the Corsair SF600 Platinum, paid a great deal more but will hopefully cover myself if I choose to go for a better GPU in the future. More lessons Learnt. In hindsight I should have chosen the Ryzen 5 5600X! It's the same price as the Ryzen 7 3700X but offers more performance and is also newer. Another is I bought a Be Quiet Pure Rock 2 CPU cooler, not doing much research apart from whether it fits in my case, now realising I should gotten the Mugen 5. Another similarly priced item with much better performance. My negligence is costing me an arm at this point. On top of this I recently snapped the PCIe clip on the MB as I tried to remove my temporary GPU.

The only thing missing now is a decent GPU. Currently set on a 3060 Ti. Just hope I don't mess this up too!
