Newbie Overclock Question

If i overclock my cpu (i5 2500k) the say 3 months down the line i re-format my pc , will i then loose my overclock ? reason i ask i am new to this

no u wouldnt, cause the overclock settings are stored on the motherboard bios, not your HD

I see , thanks for your answer. I was thinking if you re-installed windows 7 you would have to re-install mother board drivers and that would mess up the overclock

nope only if u reset the cmos on ur mobo wud u have to overclock again. take a note of all your bios values then ull have no worries whatever happens
