Newbie overclocker needs guidance

Hello all

I'd like some help overclocking the following:

q6600 2.4Ghz (energy efficient 95W SLACR)

4x1Gb Geil PC2-6400c4 800mhz DDR2 RAM

Gigabyte p-35 - DS3r

I have a Tuniq tower fitted - 120 CPU cooler.

I'm not asking for takeoff speeds - just haven't got a clue. Would be happy with stable performance and no nightmares about meltdown (as after buying an HD 5770 yesterday more purchases at OCuk would spell divorce).
