Hi folks,

I've just upgraded to a Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 and AMD64 3700+ CPU. I'm monitoring using SpeedFan and I'm a bit confused about which temperature reading to take notice of.

There are 3 readings for CPU temp, labelled CPU External, CPU Internal, and Core. The CPU Internal reading generally reads about 8 to 10 degrees higher than the Core reading which is 27 degrees as I type this. Which reading really matters?

Cheers,
Bod.

Well I don't really know which is the most important - internal core temp would be my guess, but I think your temps are perfectly fine as they are.

As long as they dont't go over 60 there isnt really anything to worry about(Except maybe higher fan noise as it tries to compensate).
