hello everybody i am jintou new to ocuk forums, well forums in general..
thought i de make my first post and introduce myself a little..

i currently own a honda civic vti 3dr hatch ek4, prior to this i owned a honda civic vtis 5dr hatch mb6..
bit of a honda nut really as the first car i owned was the honda/rover collaberated 200 series hatch..

i m keen on the whole self maintanence thing and have been servicing my own cars for as long as i ve owned them..
through this i have gained a lot of working knowledge on the honda civic and hope to share some of this with everyone..
i do hope to learn some more too as time spent under the car is not always a smooth learning curve, occasionally it does end up in hours of screaming and shouting at inanimate objects purely to sooth that frustration self maintenance can cause..

i dont just keep the car running either, i do make my car run..
i live in the country side of hampshire and really enjoy just blatting around some of our a/b roads at some considerable pace..
to me the thrill of driving quickly point to point is addictive..

modding motors comes hand in hand with maintenance, i do upgrade rather than replace if parts become too old or worn, this does seem to be endless sometimes but you ll have to expect a few worn bushes and bodywork imperfections on a 12 year old car that receives abuse of the right foot veriety daily..

now to concludify this post hello everybody, will post more in future..jintou

Hello and welcome to the forums. :)

Do you get your worn bodywork from the daily right footed abuse by any chance? ;)

the worst war wound from driving around is a 3inch crack on the lowest part of the front bumper, i said rabbits shouldnt play chicken with cars..

have had some scary roundabout moments where the back end has overtaken me so i m facing the other way on a roundabout!..

then sadly most of the bodywork imperfections come as a result of muppets and car parks, shopping trollys too..

duly noted, i may or may not think what you drive is rubbish but each to their own..

i appreciate the engineering and simple yet exhilerating drive it deliver, i simply can t fault the vtec hondas..

he drives (or did drive) an integra :p
