Hi All

I would be grateful if I could have some ideas regarding what tools I need to develop and design a website please.

The medical society has approx 100 members and at its most basic level the site needs to have this functionality:

1. display information including latest research/newsletters

2. maintain a database of members with some admin users with access to a members portal

3. have a payment system that allows visitors to join as members and sign up via direct debit

4. Have the ability to book visitors/members for events and meetings and pay

5. Email lists that allows mail to be sent to all members easily

the first question is, is it possible for a relative newbie to undertake this task?

I have limited experience of Wordpress with the current website which was designed at great cost by Minty Cloud (who don’t update the plugins and don’t allow installation of modules).

I have looked at some threads on here. My thoughts are (correct me if I’m wrong)...

- I need to host using a company like Krystal
- The domain is already registered
- Will need an email provider
- Use page builder software such as Divi (or anything else anyone can recommend).

In terms of cost we have been quoted £10k by a company which doesn’t include payment options on the site. I am free to spent up to £2k to make this happen..does that sound feasible?

Any help much appreciated. Thanks.
