Newbie to the Gym!

Thought id start a log for myself and others to see

Im 5ft 11 and around 15 and 1/4 stone, joined a gym last Monday and I have been going every other day, I had a Personal Trainer session yesterday which shocked me as to how weak and unfit I am really. A worker at the gym made me a basic get me going work out which I am going to follow in-between the PT sessions, once I get further along he is going to do be a better plan. I also have a diet plan to follow. So shall see how progress goes.

So far I weigh 14 stone 11lbs.

Gym routine

7 Mins on Bike working from level 2 going up one every 1 minute
20 mins Running machine doing 30 sec jog, 30 sec run.
Chest Press 12 Reps 3 Sets of 20kg
Shoulder Press 12 Reps 3 Sets of 20kg
Lat Pull Down 12 Reps 3 Sets of 20kg
Seated Backrow 12 Reps 3 Sets of 20kg
10 Mins on Bike working from Level 8 going up one every 1 minute
7 Min Cool down on Cross-trainer

The PT session was a lot harder with more weights etc but I enjoyed it.
 
no oats here - I have done in the past and it was coming in at 30 - 40g but to be honest I don't really enjoy eating in the morning!

Are you logging your food?
 
Stick them in a smoothie... Makes them much easier to consume in bulk. In answer to your question, I used to down 30g in one go...

What kind of smoothie do you make with the oats? I've been using my nutribullet a lot to eat more fruit an veg, didn't think about adding oats though, sounds like a good idea!
