newbie went out today with new camera :) 56k no no!

Bought a fuji s6500fd for £175 with case and memory card the other day as a camera to launch me into the world of photography.

Anyway I went out today to see the kind of results I could come up with and this is what I produced!

(bear in mind that before I had never used a camera of any sort with a lense like this so be kind!)

yeah I know, I was looking at the grime on one of the nobs on my cooker and thinking about what it would look like through a lense.

I do think I need to work on my focusing a bit though as a lot of my pics were slightly out, not by much but enough that you could notice it.

I'm not sure, my old monitor was way worse than this as it was an old iiyama lcd hand me down from my big brother so to me this asus 19" is a big improvement and I haven't had to adjust it from day one.

Although saying that it could be because today the light was very bad due to lots of cloud and when I got home I realised I had been shooting in iso 100-200 so that may be why.

I kinda thought that processing was generally frowned upon unless badly needed so I tryed to do it as little as possible.

Ahhh right, I sometimes use the curves tool in photoshop, is that generally the best thing to do for lighting?
