Morning everyone :D

I received this package from OC on Friday and spent yesterday - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BU-030-OE&groupid=43&catid=339&subcat=

Now it all fired up first time, however..........!

The BIOS showed up on first boot a warning about overclocking failed, so I re-booted and it booted up and went in to windows ok (XP X64).

The issue I have is that both the BIOS and Windows show that I have 4088MB of ram and not the 6 I have on the board. After a bit of investigation I have found the following.

CPU-Z Shows all 6gb of Ram and Everest Ultimate Shows 4GB but registers all 3 banks of 2gb!

I swaped all sticks about to see if that would make any difference but sadly no (all 3 have concurring serial numbers)

But late last night I noticed in Everest that bank 1 shows model no:

Corsair Dominator GT CM3X2G1800C7GT

Whilst banks 2&3 show

Corsair XMS3 CM3X2G1600C9

I take it this to be my problem as to why the BIOS and Xp only show 4gb or am I missing something?

Your help/comments would be gratefully appreciated.

Shunky

p.s. Despite the overclocking failed warning on first boot the Processor is running happily at 4ghz without me touching it.

Well thats definetly 2 different models of ram there.

I'd contact Overclockers and explain the situation.
Looks like someone has given you a Dominator moule instead of the third TR3X6G1600C9 module.
