hello
ive just built my self a new pc and am having reboot issues during gameplay, shogun 2 after 1 min(not sure about this as game is known to have issues)but i also get it after about 10 mins on empire total war ,these are the only 2 relitively new games i have at present although it did happen randomly while playing counter strike source,
spec-
os - win 7
cpu - i5 2500k+artic cooling i3 cooler
mobo - sabertooth p67
gfx - asus gtx560ti top
ram - 8gig g-skill ripjaw 1600mhz CL9
SSD - sys drive crucial m4 64gig
HDD - main drive hitachi deskstar 3k 2TB
all drivers upto date
these were all my new components and i have used my old psu,i tried futureproofing with that around 4 or 5 years ago its a thermaltake toughpower 700w (model W0105)its rated at 12v 2.2 but im wondering whether it has the ummff for these latest components, and i need some help as obviously the mrs isnt too impressed that ive spent 500 quid on a new PC and now ive potentialy got to fork out some more for a PSU ,
all my temps seem fine while benchmarking ,with futuremark i get a score equivelent to my system ,infact ive used a few benchmarkers (prime 95,ugine,intel burntest) and it hasnt rebooted once,
im at work so will add a dxdiag and any more info (actual temps) required later,i just need to know if my PSU is up to the job and any help or advice welcome

**on first start i did get a red light on the mobo by my gfx card to indicate an issue there but after reseating and changing a setting in the bios it no longer lights up

Your psu should be fine m8 i have 750w version had for about 5 yrs now and running xfire .
I would try using your onboard gfx just to rule out the fact that it could be your gfx card 1st , should be able to run ccs enough to see if it reboots

thanks for reply m8 but p67 does not have onboard gfx,i noticed gfx load was at 99% while running empire on gpu-id at about 60°,what could i throw at it to test my gfx card and put it through its paces properly and discover if its that at fault as im not sure about benchmarking ,didnt really understand what prime 95 was doing think thats more cpu ?,

I should realy read the hole post properly did'nt notice you were using p67.

Yeah prime 95 stresses cpu and memory ,
how long did you have prime running for ?

Maybe try the gfx card in the other pci-e slot if it still reboots when stressed then i would say its the gfx card, if it does'nt then it may well be a problem with the mobo

Can stress the gfx card with with any game or benchmark programs ie 3dmark 11 , heaven ,furmark

hope this helps

thanks mate been running furmark for 10 mins on 8x aa at my res which is 1440x 900 (i know i need a decent monitor) been fine maxed out at about 73 at 99% load, but i just ran empire total war for about 5mins and it reboots surely furmark puts more strain on than empire
some dxdiag if anyone knows if anything seems wrong doent seem to pick up my mobo though (sabertooth p67)
