Hi all,

My friend is obsessed with theme hospital and her laptop has vista on it. theme hospital was made for Windows 95 so it doesn't run very good on Vista. I've tried patches and running in compatibility mode but nothing works.

Does anyone know any similar games she could switch too? Shes sick of the Sims 1+2.

Thanks.

A lot of effort but a dual boot with a small 95 partition just for running Theme hospital might be the answer. I can't think of any alteratives to it, really was pretty unique.

theme hospital runs fine on xp  well mine does anyway

hospital tycoon is an alternative but i didnt like it very much

Just the problem I've got

I also really enjoy Theme Hospital and I'm on Vista!

Hospital Tycoon is really the only one that springs to mind but it isn't great. The customisability isn't there and it's got a silly soap like thing to it too (and the awful Sims like voices!). Yeah theme hospital rocked, still play it now.

Bought Hospital Tycoon and think it is pretty good, nicer gfx etc but is a bit easy tbh.

It is only when u get to the 4th hospital (i think, may be the 3rd) where you can build a hospital from scratch.

With regards to DOSbox, excellent little program, downloaded that as i found my old Theme Park disk and so played that for ages again.

Those were the good old days, nothing too complicated, just good business sims.

heh u have vista u get what u deserve :)

all of the bullfrog god sims are classics, dungeon keeper, theme hospital, theme park, all legendary, although all old now and probably wont work on vista

there was that hospital tycoon game out recently, although as people have said it lacked the fun of th

Thanks for all the replies.

She has tried Hospital Tycoon but she didn't like it. Said it was too easy (as other people have said!).

I think I will try DOSbox or a Virtual Machine. Laptop should be up to it as it has 2GB Ram and a Dual core CPU.

Thanks again for all the replies!
