Hey, I've advised to update my newest drivers, but the official websites are very confusing as to which onesI need and should be using.

AMD 64 Newcastle 3800+ Socket 939
ASUS A8R-MVP Motherboard
X850XT PE
Windows XP Home

Now I've got the latest Graphics card drivers, and all I could find on the Asus website is some RAID drivers or something. The AMD website shows: http://www.amd.com/gb-uk/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_9706,00.html

Am I guessing I need the "AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor Driver for Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 Version (exe) 1.3.1" drivers?

any advice would be appreciated, cheers.

For your motherboard there are also ULI drivers for the southbridge and LAN and Audio drivers.

The AMD driver isn't needed unless you want to run Cool and Quiet. If your machine is working fine don't bother updating, if it ain't broke ;)

WTF are ULI drivers? I'v installed the LAN and Audio drivers but I didn't see anything on the driver CD about ULI.

Some ATI based boards use a ULI southbridge, the Asus A8R-MVP is one of those according to the spec sheet. The drivers are available from the Asus support site, just enter your model and choose the appropriate options.
