SYSTEM ORDER DATES FOR CHRISTMAS - NOW EXTENDED!

If you order before 4pm Wednesday 21st December your system will be delivered in time for Christmas!! :cool:

CHRISTMAS DELIVERY ON ALL OTHER PRODUCTS

4pm Thursday 22nd December is your last chance to get all other items delivered this side of Christmas. Please make sure you choose DPD next day as your delivery option. As with systems, adverse weather will have an effect on courier services so it makes sense to order in advance rather than leave it to the last minute.

Are you still stuck and looking for some last minute gift inspiration?

Take a look here!

if i were to order with my free DX secure next day delivery right now, would i have a hope in hell of getting it this month? :p

seriously though, thanks for the info. should help the parents with some last minute stocking fillers :)

DX arent that bad tbh, had a few deliveries (one from here) and all turned up perfect. Had a little crushing on one corner, but thats normal damage as with all couriers). Only gripe, theres no time slot like with DPD, its 8-6 :(.

i havent used them myself yet, but theres a giant thread of complaints about them in general discussion, hence my post. it seems that its a postcode lottery for DX secure

I had a 'DPD 1hr Time-slot Next day delivery' due today, guess what 1hr time slot I was allocated/e-mailed etc?

Your order is due for delivery
between 08:00-18:00 today:confused::mad:

Very strange so called 1hr time slot from DPD?
Luckily I was in all day anyway
It arrived at approx 15:45

I will be claiming a part refund on the delivery fee as service was not as paid for:mad:

I'd like to ask the same question as above...

If I order a parcel that is shipped with DX secure instead of DPD due to my free shipping selecting that, will I still receive the present in time if I order by the 22nd. Also, if this isn't the case, can I get in touch with CS and get them to send it out to me with DPD instead of DX and still get free shipping?

Thanks for the info, latest date I've seen so far, apart from the rainforest who claim the 23rd, I tried that last year and received the goods mid January and that was with next day delivery.

@ubershell

Are DX also delivering on time still? I have a motherboard coming on wednesday according to your time slots but know how things get at this time of the year through past experiences...

I'd throw caution to the wind regarding delivery if it's really important. I had a H20 tower case (RMA'd and working great now) that was delivered by DPD Next Day yesterday (Tuesday) and that was actually meant to arrive Monday, but was cancelled by DPD to the next day without informing me.

Only by contacting DPD directly by phone did I find this out, they said it's because of the time of year with all the parcels in the network but they admit they should have done better - my complaint was passed on. It arrived finally just after 5PM Tuesday which meant I had been waiting around for full 2 days not knowing when it would arrive.

Even the home collection of the same item was cancelled and not picked up til the next day - wish they'd stop being selective over cancellations and inform customers. Surely I'm not asking too much? If I was OcUK I would ask for my money back because it wasn't next day as promised for either.

DPD are getting battered at the moment as my delivery for a graphics card is turning up today supposedly, yet the tracking doesn't even mention being at the sorting office yet -.-

I'd be VERY surprised if it turns up today.

These next few days are going to be extremely busy for DPD as it is the time of the year, however DPD have been very efficient this year with their parcels and are doing a fantastic job. There are obviously some hiccups, however they do tend to get resolved as quickly as possible. :)

If anyone has a problem with their delivery, do not hesitate to use the customer service forum (link is in my signature).

Order as soon as possible, as it is getting rather late now!

Sadly I bought it via a different company but DPD has failed to deliver. Spoke to their customer services department and DPD has failed to delivery quite a few of their items today :( He couldn't even tell me if it'll turn up tomorrow or not lol. I hate this time of year when it comes to deliveries as you can't even claim the sodding shipping fee back ether -.-

Do you know yet what is happening over New Year?

See the table/link below, normal delivery otherwise.
