sigh...
I'm cooling the LGA 1150 (4770k) using a Corsair H100i.
I've got 4 cables coming out of the pump:
2 x 4 pin connectors, each connected to a fan.
1 x USB cable connected to motherboard USB header.
1 x SATA power connector connected to PSU SATA Power
1 x 3 pin connector connected to motherboard's 4 pin (marked as CPU_FAN on a Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD4h).
Also regarding connecting the chassis's Power cable (2 pin), does it matter which orientation I choose to connect it to the motherboard (e.g. is there a negative/positive or either way will do)?
Just wanted to make sure these are ok.
Also what are the minimum components to connect to the motherboard to make it power up? Basically I want to take everything off apart from the bare minimum and see what's wrong.
Many thanks in advance.
