We sell these at work and from what some customers have been saying is yeh inks are cheap, but they seem to run out quicker than other brands so its hard to tell whether these are better economically. The printers atleast are not great. They are quite slow and noisy.

You should also get in the Hi Cap Blacks

I am liking the cheap inks. :)

Hey,

All well and good that the cartridges aren't particularly dear but when you factor that the colour is a combined cartridge that you have to essentially throw away when one ink runs out they are a bit of a rip off imo. You have the age old lexmark problem without the quite so high ink cost to buy...... Epson all the way with its six individual inks for me - especially when the compatibles come in at a whopping £1.15 each.

as i used to work heavily in print industry and digital printing, inks pricing was ridiculous even at trade pricing. For home user desktop printer these inks are such great value for money.

Hey,

They aren't when you consider the colour is a tri cartridge. If kodak made them all single with decent prices they'd be onto a winner. Until they do, they really aren't.

when i look back on photo's i have printed from 3 years ago, i can tell when original ink has been used. £1.15 ink is fine for stuff u do not want to keep long term, but why not just save it on your PC.

prints look similar when they come out of the printer, but try putting a picture printed with compatible ink on your wall and watch it fade.

* to fill a 6-cart epson with originals costs £40-£60

Hey,

Six cartridges exactly, they give better print colour than a 3 colour alternative. I've got a few pics on the wall in frames, first few with genuine ink and rest with compatibles. There's no colour or quality difference between them.

Yes the Kodak is cheap to the average purple shirt shopper, but not to anyone that's likely to come to ocuk shopping. Most are also well aware you get a lot better colour quality from a six inker.

6 v 4 colour, 6 is better.
we have good SEO and sell to everyone
lots of customers will not buy epson
we sell both (with more to come)

depends what u are printing (documents or photo's), how many pages u print (1 a week or 100 a day)
but a 6 colour printer should be able to produce better print quality than a 4 colour printer.
i have not seen a printer that takes 3 cartridge's

Been using the previous version ESP-5, for about 18months (bought because of cheap ink!) Everytime it prints is sounds like it's about to fall apart, flimsy, noisy, cluncky. Bundled software feels like it was written 4-5 years back not bad, just not slick.

That said print quality is pretty good, and I've not had a single paper jam, little lcd panel on top makes scanning a copying easy.

Cheap yes, cheerful, I'm not quite so sure.. Good price though, I paid more than that for with no WiFi

I wouldn't say it's a bad print just feels very cheap and built to a price. Next printer will be an Epsom or HP and I'll just get cartridges refilled.
