If you're downloading stuff, android newsgroup reader is great for binaries.
Is a bit feature limited but does the job!

id go for newsleech. after using it, i cant use anything else, its soo damned good....but it costs, but if you are going to be using newsgroups, there are ways for a free version

I used to use Newsbin Pro, but I've been trying Newsleecher the last few days, andI have to say I like it a lot.

I really like Alt.Binz, I used to use Newsleecher which is not free and I switched to Alt.Binz. Newsleecher is regarded as one of the best news readers for windows and is supposed to be better than the Linux and Mac equivilent but I think Alt.Binz is a lot more better and a lot more stable than Newsleecher.

I've used GrabIt now for years. I couldn't get on with Newsleecher and so after a quick search came across GrabIt. Never looked back.

I use grabit and can't recomend it enough
