I've been with Easynews for 4 years but after doing a little bit of research I've decided to try Newshosting.
£80 for 12 months unlimited sounds excellent.
Any good or bad points about them?

Thanks for that.

Easynews has an amazing front end and you don't have to have a Newsreader. It has an excellent search facility called Global 4 which even brings up thumbnails of peoples home movies etc and samples of their home made MP3's.
All newsgroups are shown within the web browser and looks similar to a newsreader. Obviously you can also use the old fashioned way and put your details in a newsreader.
I've been with a Usenet search engine for four years (www.binnews.com) and only last night found out how to create NZB files with it so that I can use a newsreader + Newshosting.

2nd question -

How do you guys search for all your LINUX OS's and games demos on Newshosting?
Surely downloading headers would take forever?

Newshosting and NTL seem to have some speed issues at peak times, so be wary if your on NTL cable.

I hear giganews is better but its a little more expensive.

From about 14:30 yesterday up until now there has been no speed issues and I'm on NTL.
I sometimes get it with Easynews though.

I can't see how Giganews can be any better unless its cheaper (which its not).

I've just paid £80 for 12 months Unlimited but I'm keeping Easynews because its got the best search engine you'll ever see.
A lot of Easynews members have never seen it so here it is - Easynews Global
