Newsleecher Help Please

Hi,

I have Newsleecher but havent a clue how to use it. I take it I have to add a news server which costs money unless I use free ISP ones.

Which is the best news servers to subcribe to please. I have seen Giganews etc but would like to hear what you think is best.

I use powerusenet myself, they use giganews's servers but don't chaarge as much so best of both worlds really.

Ok I have a news server and have put the details including username and password into Newsleecher. I click connect but it still says offline (connect on demand).

How do I connect? My firewall is already set to accept it.

Connect on demand means it's ready to go...you need to start downloading something; either newsgroup lists or their headers. If i remember rightly you should click on the manager tab, click 'fetch list' and it'll grab a list of all the groups you have access to. Then apply a filter for what you're looking for, subscribe and away ya go.

When it says Connect on demand thats exactly what it does :) therefore it'll only start download whensomethings in the queue, try adding something to download (look for the nzb files) and it should connect.
