Soldato
SWMBO has taken to playing some of the "freemium" strategy apps on her iPad, such as Clash of Clans, Boom Beach and Dominations by Nexon/Big Huge Games. On Dominations she is currently in Medieval Age but last night was attacked by someone from Industrial (?) Age including use of dynamite. Needless to say, the village was levelled in seconds along with a large portion of resources - knights and catapults not much use against explosives.
Surely this can't be right as otherwise it makes for drastically unbalanced gameplay, so are users from more advanced epochs somehow cheating and spamming attacks on much lower level players to harvest resources at little or no cost to themselves.
I've advised her not to spend any more (real) money on the game (personally I hate the freemium business model anyway) and if it carries on, just delete it. Anyone else had a similar experience?
