next card please

Old card died and Im currently running a pants 6500 LE or something!

Which card(s) should I go for next, I can SLi but is it worth it? I wouldnt want to spend more than £300 anyway. I have always assumed x1900 512, but which? There are several. Is 625mhz going to be much worse than 650mhz or are these negligible speeds that dont really warrant the extra ~£50? Would prefer something a little future proof too

thanks for the advice. I'm using a DFI expert so I dont think compatability will be much of an issue. I could wait until next month, how are the 1950's going to be priced?

X1950 XTX 512MB GDDR4 will be £325 - £375 +VAT
X1950 XT 256MB GDDR4 will be approx £225 - £275 +VAT

Hmmm... I've never bought the very latest hardware yet and I think I'll stick to that as I can't justify spending top dollar just because it's just out. I think I'll be going for

Connect3D ATI Radeon X1900XT 512MB card

as suggested and upgrade at the end of the year/new year. I'm sure my opty @ 3ghz would hold it back anyhow, right?

Well thanks for all yours advice. No need to argue, I think you've all got valid points and helped me become even less certain which card I want (each of you have made me think "yeah I suppose he's right"). You're all right but of course it comes down to what I want/need in the end. I was going to buy an 1900xt next week but now Im considering waiting until the 1950 comes out, seeing how much they cost and seeing how much the 1900 comes down to. I will also definitely consider the 7950gx2 at that time so I could go for any of the three!
