Next computer???

Well i have a 10 month old Sony Vaio BX Laptop. It works alright, problem is, it only has 1.5-2 hrs of battery. This august i will be getting a new computer. Which in your opinion would be a better choice: a macbook: £800. Or a high spec gaming computer (desktop) £500~

What are you going to use it for? Do you game a lot? or is mobility important to you?

I'd say a desktop gaming rig because that way you have a powerful PC for games at home and your existing VAIO laptop when you need computing on the move.

Yeah i do game quite a bit. Do you think i should get the Extended Battery pack? Its £120 for the Vaio. And has anyone had any previous experiences with them. If i get around 1.5-2 hrs now.. how much can i expect with the extended one, considering it looks like it will stick out of the back of my laptop.

I'd go for the desktop too. You'll have a very hard time matching gaming on a desktop with a laptop. I hate gaming on my laptop.

And I'd probably look at spending at least £650 on it, but that's just me. ;)

Don't know much about the extended battery packs. Seems a bit steep though. And I personally rarely find myself in places without power points.
