I made a purchase of an item yesterday evening (friday) at around 6-7pm for next day delivery (£7.25) I received an email just recently saying purchases after 4.30pm on friday will lead to an arrival on tuesday as couriers don't collect on weekends.
Is this true because i really want my delivery money back if so.

I believe it states on the site that any orders after 4.30pm will not arrive until Tuesday as, like you say, they are not collected on the weekend.

EDIT: 4.30pm on a Friday, just to be clear

Please pickup the phone and call them. No one here will be able to help you. Also:

6pm is far too late to expect next day delivery.

When i have ordered, Next day only ever means Monday - Friday.

does not mean Weekends, That is normally, a "Saturday Delivery" option.

also they are running behind quite a lot, with the bad weather.

I see.
Funny you said 6pm is too late for next day delivery 'cos on *competitor* even if you order just before midnight you get it the next day hopefully this is something overclockers will mimic.

actually u wont get it next day from them either, it'll arrive monday/tuesday

next day means next working day, which doesn't include weekends

Mentioning competitors is against the rules, so i'd suggest editing that unless you want a holiday.

Also, you cant really say 4 days, because everything is always stated in working days. If you order after overclockers on friday close, then its 1 working day (processed mon, delivered tues) for delivery.

Also, i don't see anywhere on their website saying if you order it just before midnight you get it next day. If you order before 6 thats fine. They charge you an extra £1 if its between 6 and 11. Nothing about midnight.

Edit: as the person above has said, you would probably get it monday / tuesday.

I bet if overclockers didnt say they cannot guarantee orders placed after 4.30 and then it wasn't delivered, you would moan that they dont tell you.

You will be lucky to get on Tuesday, all the carriers have back logs even Royal Mail have suspended next day guarantee on Special Delivery, I had a customer phone DPD to collect from us during the week and they had suspended collections in our area.

I see.

Opening Hours
Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm

Spie's not going to come back to work to package your order out of hours.

But don't you think it should change or do you like waiting 4 Days for the product to arrive on a weekday when you work?

then read what "next day delivery" is, or get it with Saturday delivery??? That way ure garunteed (weather permitting) to get it on a Weekend as you wanted.

Can you not have the item delivered to your place of work?

Or ordered Thursday for Friday delivery and if your out collect from the local depot, I have done that once or twice.

it quite clearly says orders before 4:30. On that basis it gets shipped on Monday and with next day arrives on Tuesday. Not quite sure what the big deal is here.

They also have a Saturday option as quite rightly, if you want it on a Saturday you should pay more as its the weekend.

if you want something delivered when you are working then get it delivered to work like everyone else?

thats y theres an option for saturday deleivery, its jsut more expensive.

so u either pay the extra to get it on saturday or sort something out for a weekday.

theres really not a lot u can do to change it, its just how the couriers work

I am locking this thread as the OP has requested something with quite frankly is silly.

Next Day Delivery info is clearly listed on our website. I call trolling!
