Just wondering if someone could help me with a small issue.
I ordered an item yesterday lunchtime from another online retailer and I paid a lot extra for next day delivery.
Guess what, it hasnt arrived even though it was despatched yesterday afternoon :(
Where do I stand on this? I mean I could have spent less on delivery and got it tomorrow, but I didnt.
Do i have any chance of a refund in this situation? anyone else done similar?

Sure you put the correct address on it?

If it turns up tomorrow email them...if its recorded they will be able to know that it was a day late from the signature and stuff you will have to give.

Yup address was correct, been in all day nobodys called :(

nothing worse than having to wait for a delivery, even if it does turn up you still have to stay in until it does, hope it comes tomorrow thrn at least you can email them and see what they will do about it

if the retailer says it has been dispatched, then have a word with the guy who brings it you and ask why its a day late, i know ive had things delayed when the weather was really bad during all the flooding etc.

Its nothing to do with the driver.

Ring the sender, thats who offered the service its their problem.

if the retailer has dispatched the item by the date/time they state they would, then the issue needs to be resolved with the courier. ring the retailer though, and ask for contact details of the courier. this then makes them aware there has been a problem, and gives them the opportunity to act. if they give you a refund, they will in turn be claiming costs back from the courier anyway, so there is no reason for them to be unhelpful.

happened to me a week or so ago. straight away the guy said "we will refund the delivery costs, this will be credited to your account within 3 working days" then patched me through to the courier to find out what the issue was.

delivery was received the day after, and money back in my account :)
