Next gen cards...release date?

it isnt out yet? :confused:

r600 is unified so they will all be assigned to a task, pixel etc.
r600 is said to be the hottest core ever and very large in size too so im not putting anything against 64 pp's.
 
Don't know what to think about the x1950, a guy who posts on elite ******** said its fake as he made the slides with the specs on as a joke for a journalist, and he can't believe ppl are now taking it serious, and its getting posted all over the shop. :confused:
 
Yeah I saw those slides..... but u can never be too sure u know, they did release the X1900 and its odd how we didnt see the X1950.

Its been about 6 months now come to think about it so perhaps its ATIs turn to release there souped up version now?

I dont see how its gonna take on the 7950/

Just another case of wait and see, I may look at getting a temp card to fill me in for another 3 months :)
 
They been hinting the R600 is so fast/powerful its also a big big card needed its cooling system to be redone just like the 7800gtx was.....

If X1950 arrives that thing would surely be so hot they could proberly give some oven gloves with it.

hmm normal rez for my monitor is 1600x1200, slap on some AA and x1950xtx will still be crap.

you can;t even compare a 7950gx2 to the x19xxxt the ati card has no chance. even a ati fan boy can understand that.

Yeah that proberly is the case, I just got a gut feeling they will just slapt on faster memory and hope for the better ;)
