Next gen GPU

What would be the benefit of upgrading to the next gen GPUs from a 6700xt other than the obvious performance boost when paired with a quest 3?
Things like I'd get access to av1 codec but looks like it's not useful in my setup as I used a good wifi6 router

Last game I played was ff7 remake, next will be rebirth.
Haven't seen any vr games lately that's interested me
