im getting a bit worried about buying a next gen graphics card when they are released, my computer is almost a year old & i dont want to spend a lot of money on a new card if some of my other components are going to bottleneck the performance.

would you guys advise me on what else i should upgrade when the time comes? i know im gonna need a new PSU

here are my current specs

AMD Athlon™ 64 FX-57 Processor
NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GTX Extreme Edition 256MB
SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio
OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC3200 Dual Channel Platinum Series
ASUS A8N-SLI Premium
Thermaltake Purepower 560W Psu
120gig Maxtor SATA
300gig Maxtor SATA

Dont bother, you have a DX9 card already, no point in another one, surely a 7800 GTX can run DX9 stuff fine, so getting another DX9 one to run em is pointless.

No point in upgrading anything there, that's a stunning computer. Worry about upgrading in about twelve month's time when DirectX 10 games start coming into their own.

Why not get a 7950 GTX2?

even you say it thrashes a 7900 GTX in games and is a steal at 400 quid
