Good old fraud checker stopping me from buying a card not only once but twice
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
Put some Gigabyte up guys, shall be down by 3pm !
Not so sure about the prices.......
To be fair, a lot of the Discords etc. I was signed up to haven't pinged so something must be working...
I saw it ping on Part Alert, but I think that was because someone shared that it was happening. It's funny though, they complain about the prices but of course many still bought anyway. Just own it lmao. Can confirm. The latest drop of 3070s in the 3D print sections have not been picked up by alerts (of various sorts). The Asus 3090 EKWB in the GPU section, that one got flagged.
I keep putting them up but I only leave them up for 3-5 mins at a time. The 3D printer section works well because we've probably sold around 60 units in the drops so far today.
Whereas when a card goes live in the normal section they sell at a rate of 100+ per minute, so the 3D printer section works well as there is generally very little to zero traffic sat in that section. Also because I don't leave them live for long I think helps prevent any discord, scripts, bots time to discover them, whatever it is this is the best solution so far.
I shall make more available throughout the afternoon for those who missed out and yes it is mainly the Gigabyte cards.
so the 3060 is about my price range.
£750 then?
I added one to my basket to buy, and thought 'yes!!!!' finally bagged myself a 3080, but then realised it was only a 3070. OC are selling 3070's at 3080's prices !!!, blimey, I'm not paying that much and i'm desperate to get one (just not that desperate!)Saw them and was tempted but common sense got the better of me. I’m not going to pay £900 for a 3070, even if it means having to postpone my PC for a few months.
Are you planning on doing something similar for the 3060 cards when you finally put them on the website?
I don’t have enough time for gaming to warrant spending almost £1k on a card, so the 3060 is about my price range.
I’m glad some folk are managing to get hold of them this way though. Any chance we could make this thread only visible to users logged in too? Reduces scalpers getting info!
Before we do this again give me a little time to think. at the very least we'll need to move the cards to a different section. Bots are obviously monitoring it, but maybe I can think of a way to get the website to "hide" the section.Yes but think the cat is out the bag now on the 3070's that last drop I just did, we've sold over 500 cards so I am guessing an alert must have got triggered somewhere.
Shall assess on how oversold we are now as some people may have to be waiting a few weeks, good news is 3070's do arrive frequent and often.

Would listing these cards at silly price like x10 RRP but then announcing a discount code here on forums to bring it down to the actual price, if only 100 available then limit the code use to 100. Add a notes box on the order where we can put in forum username, and a pre dispatch check of a verified user account with above xxx posts. A little work but it would mean forum user can get them and not scalpers/bots
unfortunately, we'd need our IT team to issue the codes and right now asking them to help with anything not related to the overseas shipping/VAT or new software integrations is not an option.Would listing these cards at silly price like x10 RRP but then announcing a discount code here on forums to bring it down to the actual price, if only 100 available then limit the code use to 100.
