System specs
Cpu 5800x3d
Mobo msi b450 mortar max
Kombo strike lvl 3 set in bios
My pc is a beast with a simple cpu upgrade
Gained min 25fps in war zone using a 2070 armour, buttery smooth game play, will be upgrading gpu.
I want to upgrade my existing ram reason being ddr4 is cheap I want 32gig I only have 16gig of 3200mhz crucial Ballistix 16-18-18-36.
Current ram is rgb, I can’t stand rgb it flickers and flashes and has a mind of it own, insulation tape is used to cover the rgb at this moment in time.
Please advise on good descent ram that’s great out of the box and overclock able if I wish the need to have a play.
Last question. Is it best getting 2x16 gig ram or 4x8 gig or ram? Your advice would be greatly appreciated and thank you

just stick to 2 sticks you can some times have problems with 4

genuinely just get a 3600mhz kit and be happy

Just installed the ram
That I reposted above, I have enabled xmp but noticed FCLK Frequency in bios was set at 1600mhz, do I need to change the FCLK frequency now that I am running 32gig 3600mhz? Plz advice

Change it to 1800 or auto, did you previously set it to 3200? Mine always changed with whatever I set the ram at with xmp or manually.

Tbh I did not check to see what FCLK was before o installed the new ram

I know I was watching a YouTube video few weeks back and I did alter this frequency but I am unsure if it changed to 1600mhz or not so I have left it on auto just for now

auto should set 1:1 so it should be at 1800 in CPUz if it not change it
