Can anyone suggest a few good TV series to watch?

Here's what I've watched so far:

Lost: Quite addictive/interesting but the unanswered questions became frustrating. Gave up at about season 4.

Heroes: Not too impressed. Gave up partway through season 2

Firefly: Really enjoyed

Battlestar Galactica: Really enjoyed, watched the lot.

Dexter: Brilliant, watched 4 seasons and will pick up others when available

Prison Break: Seasons 1 and 2 were brilliant. Season 3 was OK, but lot interest before Season 4.
 
The new shows i have been watching are:

V (2010 )
The walking dead
The Event

Waiting for season 2 on all these,
Looking forward to watching these on the new Sky Atlantic channel:

Boardwalk empire
Blue bloods

And the new Hawaii Five-O remake looks good.
 
There are some good shows out there what are decent and some which are good, i'll give you some of the shows that i watch which are my favourites.

Community
Cougar Town
Entourage
Gossip Girl
House
Modern Family
How I Met Your Mother
Spartacus Blood And Sand
The Big Bang Theory
The Shield
The Walking Dead
The Wire
V
Veronica Mars
White Collar

The shows that are highlighted in bold are the ones that i think you would enjoy the most which have a decent story.

i thought walking dead was very overrated and over hyped.

"The Event" is okay but nothing amazing it might start to ger a lot better though once it returns because a lot of boring crap is out of the way

you should probably try some stargate if you like scifi stuff

sadly people based their expectations on the comic's plot.

but the tv writers decided they;'d write soime ****y teen melodrama crap instead.

Seeing as you mentioned enjoying Firefly I would definitely recommend Castle - Nathan Fillions current vehicle - it's a brilliant crime drama / comedy - highly highly recommended!

It's onto its 3rd season and a 4th is confirmed :)
 
Chuck is a great show also...

Spartacus and its new spin off show are also worth doing...

Theres also a prequel pilot/series coming from BSG called blood and chrome due this fall I think.

A new Superhero show also just started called The Cape, but aint seen it yet, may take over for hereos who knows.

I've never ever watched a single episode of the Sopranos. Is it good then?

Downloaded the first episode of the West Wing to see what it was like, tempted to get the first series and see how it goes as I enjoyed the glimpse I got.
