Next Upgrade or New Build

Hi,

This is my pc spec below. I use it mainly for work now but finding with lots of chrome tabs open and a coupe of programs it starting to slow down. What do you recommend?

It's ddr3? Can you get 32gb apparently but maybe not that sweet 2400 stuff. Ddr3 is so cheap 2nd hand.

You could try finding some cheap second hand DDR3 and bumping your RAM up to at least 16gb, make sure the applications you use are on an SSD too.

Alternatively, a platform update (cpu/mobo/ram and reuse the rest) could be done for that sort of use case for around £150-200 and would offer some hefty uplift.

Nowadays chrome is an Uber memory hog.
As others have said, a ram upgrade would be the cheapest, if you are satisfied with the performance of your current pc otherwise.
Else it will be a full computer upgrade
