Hi guys, you have helped me a lot in the past. I would be thankful again if you could again.

In my life, I went from Samsung earphones -> skull candy -> Vsonic VSD3S -> Brainwavz B100 (current)

My question is 'What would be next good upgrade?'. I love the sound of my B100 but I find them lacking in bass (It's very good but lacking in songs that have emphasis on it)

Also, I was thinking about getting a pair of headphones. At the moment I have clouds. I was thinking about maybe dt990 pro but I'm unsure. Are they good?

The Beyer DT990 and DT770 both have good bass BUT they also have very piercing highs, which can be too much for a lot of people.

Personally, when I want a fun and bassy sound I reach for my Sony MDR-1A's which I picked up for £90 as a warehouse return on the rain forest - they were actually as new. :)

If you want more bass from the B100 just EQ the lowest frequencies up a little....

I have the lowest frequencies set to 0db and then slight reductions in the sliders until I am at -3db at 300Hz and remaining at -3db across the rest of the frequencies. I've done it this way as I've heard it's better to cut than boost with equalisers, not sure if it's true but it sounds good anyway. It would also work with a 6db cut, you'd just need to push the master volume up a little more.

If you would like IEMs with more bass, I still recommend the Fidue A73 (dual driver) and also the 1MORE E1001 (triple driver)

* if you don't have small ears the Tennmak Piano may be worth a punt at just £19. Great sub-bass and a nice bit of sparkle in the highs but they can be a bit of work to fit properly.
