Hey Guys,

Not sure if this is the best place to post this but looking for some advice on a Nextbase Dashcam.

I know there's a few similar models with the same controls so maybe someone out there has one that could help me

How does it actually work? I've got one but I can't figure out how to get it to record footage - do I just have to leave it constantly recording or will it automatically save the last 3 minutes if it detects a crash? If so, does that mean I have to hit the record button every time I get in the car?

You'll normally set it to start recording automatically and loop. As soon as the card is full it'll start overwriting from the beginning.

I have the same dashcam. It will start recording as soon as it's powered up. It will record in clips which you can set the length of in the settings. Mine's set to 2 minutes. It will overwrite the oldest one and keep going on a loop.

The '!' button on the bottom left you can press, it will make the current and next videos read-only and puts them in a folder called 'RO', which wont ever be overwritten. It should automatically record into RO in an accident too, from the G-force sensor.
